The Neurobiology of Trauma (2 Hours CLE Credit)

Trauma impacts our clients as they work to survive and adapt to their circumstances and environment. Join us for an engaging presentation by Emily Steimel-Handy, Public Education Coordinator at the YWCA Center for Safety and Empowerment, where participants will gain understanding of the physical, neurobiological response to trauma, how trauma affects the brain's ability to send signals to the body, the impact of trauma on the storage of memory and individual behavior, and an overview of trauma-informed services. This CLE is free for public defenders and assigned counsel, and not open to prosecutors. Register here.
