CLE: Kansas Special Sentencing Rules Decoded for Public Defense

Kansas has many specific sentencing rules that public defenders must familiarize themselves with in order to represent their clients zealously. This training will walk attorneys through Kansas special sentencing rules and criminal history scoring, with a focus on common traps, recent updates to the rules, and how errors arise in practice. Attendees will leave better equipped to spot scoring issues early, advocate for clients at sentencing, and protect the record when the grid does not tell the whole story.
